Salt Resistance Pole Transformer

A pole transformer which is one of electric power devices requires high reliability. It is widely installed even in the severe environments including a coastal region, and easily get damage by salt.

To prevent from rusting in the severe environments, it was necessary to use carbon galvanized steel for its cases (called salt-proof type) in the previous devices.

As a new approach, we replaced the galvanized steel with NSSC409L and/or NSSC410 which have good corrosion resistance and formability.

The new transformer is easily fabricated in the same manner as carbon steel, and exhibits great advantage in LCC (Life Cycle Cost). It has been already commercialized and widely used.
